Project Philosophy

Eaton Valley Primary School is the name of a new school to be built on a site off Dagger Lane, West Bromwich with an anticipated opening in mid-to-late 2009. The venture is being funded by Tesco plc as part of the re-development of West Bromwich town centre. The new school will replace Cronehills Primary School which will be demolished to make way for a superstore and other retail units. The school will overlook Sandwell Valley which is protected green-belt land.

The new school has been designed following extensive consultation with school staff and pupils, parents, governors, Sandwell Education Department and the wider community. It will provide two-form entry accommodation for pupils aged from 3 to 11, including a 60 place Nursery. A community area will also be available within the school building.

All those involved with the development, design and, ultimately, construction of the new school are committed to providing a building which is sustainable, environmentally friendly, is in sympathy with the local area and is built to the highest possible standards to meet the demands of a 21st century primary school curriculum and, thus, excites and enthuses its pupils.
